Treatment Programs and Services

Provo Canyon Behavioral Hospital. Your recovery begins today.

Since 2011, we have provided specialized behavioral health care and addiction treatment in a welcoming environment for people in search of healing. Provo Canyon Behavioral Hospital is located in the foothills of the Wasatch Mountains, near the entrance of the majestic Provo Canyon. The hospital proudly sits atop a century’s old apple orchard on five acres; apple trees still visibly align the property today. The hospital includes 80 inpatient beds. We also provide outpatient therapy, psychiatric evaluations, and medication management.

Provo Canyon Hospital is accredited state-licensed and Medicare certified. Provo’s inpatient and outpatient programs are tailored for individuals 12 years old and older struggling with mental health issues like depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and substance abuse.

Inpatient Treatment

The goal of inpatient treatment is to treat mental illness and promote mental health. One out of five people suffer from diagnosable mental illnesses, including:

  • PTSD
  • Trauma
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • Psychosis

Patients who are either in danger of harming themselves or others, or in need of inpatient detox from drugs or alcohol receive 24-hour nursing supervision and an intensive treatment regimen, including medication management by a psychiatric provider.

Patients also receive:

  • Comprehensive psychiatric, psychosocial, and medical evaluation
  • Psychotherapy groups
  • Education groups
  • Individual & Family therapy
  • Comprehensive discharge planning

Intensive Outpatient

Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) program allows patients to receive treatment that addresses a full range of psychiatric and dual diagnosis issues, while they continue to live at home.

Medication Evaluation and Management

Due to COVID-19 this is done by utilizing user-friendly, HIPAA-compliant video and communications technology, this service allows you to see and speak with a doctor, physician assistant or nurse practitioner just as you would during an in-person consultation — all in real time, respectful of social distancing practices, and from your own home, office or anywhere you may be.
